About Mo
Mo Anvari is a housing strategist and project lead with a track record of getting complex builds done—on budget, beyond code, and in deep collaboration with the communities they serve.
For over 15 years, Mo has worked at the intersection of design, policy, and community. As a former director and project lead at St. Clare’s Multifaith Housing Society, he helped shape developments known for their cultural sensitivity, environmental integrity, and tenant-first approach. His work includes Passive Haus-inspired builds, one of Canada’s first mass timber affordable housing projects, and community-rooted designs that exceed municipal standards.
Mo’s approach is shaped by his lived experience as a Persian-Canadian, his background in nonprofit housing, and his belief that good design is never separate from equity or sustainability. He brings a rare mix of technical clarity, cross-sector fluency, and on-the-ground pragmatism to every project.
In 2025, Mo was invited to speak at the University of Toronto’s SPRE Accelerator on The Future of Housing in Canada, where he shared his insights on building beyond minimums—through partnership, policy literacy, and bold, values-driven design.
